As the riders exit the ride wireless antennas transmit the data to a central data management system.

On-ride video recorder to debut
at EAS

While on-ride photos have become big business at many parks, it was only a matter of time before high-quality videos were offered. Divicom, a German company specialized in video recorders for medical applications, will launch its new on-ride video recorder during Euro Amusement Show 2005.
Each visitor stopping by Maurer Söhne booth will be offered a personal DVD form their “ride” aboard Maurer Söhne´s X-Car presentation. With a camera installed on the coaster train itself, Ridercam records a guest's experience on the attractions and provides them with a personalized DVD of their adventure. The DVD can be customized according to the park and features additional clips of the ride including stook footage as well as rides sponsors.

As guests exit the ride, wireless antennas transmit the footage to the central data management system. At the Ridercam shop, flat screens display short clips of the previous ride, allowing the customer to relieve the thrill. After ordering, it only takes a couple of minutes to burn the personalized movie onto DVD.
